Dr. Smith has been practicing at Valley since 1995. After graduating fronm the University of Pennsylvania, she practiced for one year in New York; before she returned to her home state of Connecticut. Obviously, VCA Valley is her home away from home. Dr. Smith is married and has one daughter, Grace. In a spare moment, she loves to be out gardening or doing anything outside. .
Dr. Willis came to VCA in 2007 starting at our sister hospital in Vernon. After many years as an accountant she decided to take her life in a new direction by pursuing a degree in Veterinary medicine and graduated from University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) She has 3 adopted dogs named Baxter, Milo, and Vina and an adopted cat named Abbey. She spends her free time playing tennis, reading, and making jewlery.
Dr. Jacobsen joined the Valley team in 2012. She first recieved an associate degree in evnironmental engineering and did her undergrad at the University of New Haven in Biochemistry. Dr. Jacobsen was previously a technician at VCA New London before persuing a degree in veterinary medicine from Iowa State University. She has two dogs a Bassett Hound named Ozzie and a Chihuahua named Stewie. When she is not working she likes to spend her time cooking and working on old cars. .
